Kelly Education is now hiring Substitute Educators for the 2026/2027 school year in Oklahoma City. This role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to mentor students by executing lesson plans and supporting classroom activities. No experience required beyond a high school diploma or GED.

Candidates must be 18+, willing to pass the OSBI background check, and ready to adapt to various classroom environments while building positive relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background check: OSBI Fingerprint Background for School Employment (costs borne by applicant).

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies.
• Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans.
• Instruct students on classroom topics/courses.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Assign reasonable tasks and homework.
• Empower students to learn and encourage classroom participation.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student abilities.
• Adapt to various learning styles of students.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans and build, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
