Responsibilities

• Reports to the building principal or school secretary 30 minutes before school starts.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences that effectively utilize the available time for instruction.
• Maintains routines and procedures of the classroom; assigns homework and grades as needed.
• Consults with the principal or team leader before initiating teaching procedures not in lesson plans.
• Oversees pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to create a productive learning atmosphere.
• Follows all district policies and procedures for teachers.
