Job summary

City of Durango is seeking Part-Time Transit Operators to drive trolleys, buses, and minivans on scheduled routes, with a flexible schedule and fewer weekly hours to help keep our community moving.

You will perform safety checks, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and assist riders including those needing extra support. CDL with Passenger Endorsement is supported, with ongoing training available to build skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience operating passenger transportation vehicles is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate trolleys, buses, and minivans, accommodating passengers with disabilities and ADA compliance.
• Perform regular safety checks and minor vehicle maintenance, documenting defects.
• Drive routes according to schedule with defensive driving techniques.
• Record passenger, fuel, and mileage data accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills.
