Job summary

Goodwill South Florida seeks a retail associate to help customers, stock shelves, process donations, and operate the cash register in our Florida store. You will greet donors, sort donations, and maintain a clean, organized shopping environment while providing friendly service that supports our mission.

Responsibilities include handling sales, assisting customers, pricing merchandise, and participating in store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior cashiering experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their donated items.
• Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort and test small appliances and other merchandise.
• Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and manage cash/credit card procedures.
• Cleaning duties: clean bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, fixtures, and store areas.
• Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
• Customer service activities: assist customers, price merchandise, assist in fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations.
