Job summary

U.S.-Silica in Vale, Oregon is seeking a Production Operator to assist in operation and monitoring of production equipment, perform routine inspections, and support plant processes under supervision.

You will pack products, assist with bulk car prep, perform basic maintenance tasks, maintain accurate records, and comply with safety and environmental regulations while prioritizing safe, efficient operations on site.

Qualifications

• Must maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced outdoor environment and access multiple levels (stairs & ladders).
• Good problem-solving skills.
• MSHA knowledge preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer software knowledge preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
• Operate and monitor production equipment under supervision.
• Pack product into bags, boxes, and railcars; inspect and label packaging.
• Perform bulk car prep, cleaning, sealing, purging, and switching.
• Use palletizers, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
• Record bag weights and labeling information accurately.
• Maintain general plant cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Assist with equipment maintenance tasks and blockages clearing.
