Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking an on-site Plant Operator to run multiple production units, monitor controls, and troubleshoot basic process issues under limited supervision.

The role includes performing safety inspections, quality checks, and coordinating with truck/railcar loading, spills, and data collection. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all seasons and follow MSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High level of safety and quality.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced outdoor conditions.
• Climb stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms.
• MSHA knowledge and forklift experience are preferred.
• Experience with warehouse operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and document results.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies and training.
• Operate production units, monitor control systems, and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Load trucks and railcars, manage loading information and spill cleanup.
• Perform in-process tests and collect samples in wet process and milling.
• Maintain relationships with plant staff, contractors, vendors, and drivers.
