Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and mobility support.
• Strong communication skills with clients, families, and office staff.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation and activities.
• Assist with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support.
• Prepare meals and snacks per client preferences and care plan; provide feeding support if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe living environment.
• Provide medication reminders per care plan (no handling of medications).
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers; use mobility aids as needed.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments and errands.
• Offer respite care to give family caregivers a needed break.
• Document shift activity and notify office of any changes in client condition.
