Job summary

GPM Investments is hiring a Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 4287 in Lubbock, TX. You’ll be the friendly face at the register, helping customers and keeping the store clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, selling age-restricted items with proper verification, stocking shelves, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Flexible schedules are available; both full-time and part-time roles exist.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
• Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift. Comfortable indoors/outdoors in all weathers.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
• Detail-oriented and reliable, with a sense of responsibility.
• Flexible and willing to take on various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with proper age verification and compliance.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
• Keep inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including deep cleaning restrooms, pumps, and litter pickup.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, including sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning.
• Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and help wherever needed.
