Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Hawthorne to protect guests, team members and assets. You will monitor incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and uphold Target's asset protection policies to ensure a safe shopping experience.

The role requires strong communication skills, physical stamina and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Training is provided and you will be part of a values-driven AP team focused on safety and guest care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet state/local licensure requirements
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners
• Effective communication skills
• Work independently and with a team
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience by greeting guests and helping them find what they need
• Respond to security incidents and document them in the case management system
• Promote safety and security throughout the store, including exterior areas
• Assist with theft prevention and adherence to AP policies
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety policies
