Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Flex Officer for PLCB locations in Pittsburgh. The part-time role offers $20.00 per hour with up to 30 hours weekly. Shifts vary, and availability across mornings, afternoons, overnights, weekdays and weekends is expected.

Uniforms and equipment are provided, with weekly pay, paid training, and strong benefits. The position supports growth across healthcare, education, and finance sectors through our flexible shift-picking platform.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigations and drug screen required.
• No prior experience required
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment.
• Strong communication with the public.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Team-oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and manage access control.
• Observe and report incidents; maintain written logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
