Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve clients across multiple industries in Greensboro, NC. You’ll use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts, building a schedule that fits your availability while gaining hands-on site experience.

You may work irregular shifts with little notice. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to post orders, with opportunities to advance within a large national security organization.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required per federal/state/local laws; prior criminal history considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed in some jurisdictions).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; active listening and problem-solving.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; mediate conflicts with tact.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and manage entries/exits.
• Monitor entrances/exits and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and maintain written logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
