Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Substitute School Food Service Worker to support meal service in partner schools. This on-site, flexible on-call role offers daytime hours with no evenings or weekends and summers off, plus training provided to get you started.

You’ll prep, serve, and maintain clean serving areas while following safety guidelines. Join a team that fuels learning and makes a positive impact in your community.

Qualifications

• Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak and read English to understand and perform job assignments.
• Professional image; able to work well in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming mealtime atmosphere.
• Support the team and jump in wherever needed.
