Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable Substitute Kitchen Helper to support our school food service program on an as-needed basis at Gothenburg locations. This role helps with food preparation, serving students, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

You'll work with different school teams, enjoy variety, and contribute to a positive student experience. The position offers a flexible, Monday–Friday daytime schedule and opportunities for growth and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis at multiple school locations.
• Strong communication skills for team coordination and reporting.
• Ability to follow simple recipes and measure ingredients for large batches.
• Dependability and integrity with a strong customer service mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Fill in at school kitchens when team members are out to ensure meal service continues.
• Help prep and serve menu items, keep station stocked, follow serving guidelines.
• Follow recipes and keep kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean using FIFO.
• Maintain food safety, complete basic logs, and assist with production records.
• Communicate supply needs and updates to team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists.
