Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at 23303 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI. You will bag groceries at checkout, help customers, keep aisles tidy and assist with loading bags into cars, while upholding safety and food safety guidelines.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, perform shelf conditioning, handle seasonal merchandise, and help customers find items, check prices, and maintain a welcoming store experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout and assist customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items without damage.
• Follow bagging best practices with reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help load bags into customers' cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and trash in store and parking lot; maintain cleanliness inside and outside.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for pricing checks.
• Support safety programs and comply with safety procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs; create welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly; handle customer and business information with honesty.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed; assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
