Job summary

Shaner Hotels’ DoubleTree by Hilton Huntington in downtown Huntington, West Virginia, is seeking a friendly on-site valet/guest services associate. You will greet guests, assist with luggage, escort guests to rooms, and share information about hotel services and local attractions to create welcoming arrivals.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, and be 21 or older for insurance purposes.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license in the state of hotel’s operations.
Excellent driving record (This is Mandatory!)
Due to the nature of our insurance, driver must be 21+.
Ability to provide legible communication and directions.
Previous guest relations and/or training.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

Transport guest luggage to/from guest rooms.
Escort guests to rooms and inform guests of all hotel services and features.
May perform valet services, i.e. drive, park and retrieve guest/visitor vehicles as they arrive and depart from the hotel, courteously, safely, and efficiently according to the hotel's standards.
Greet arriving guests/visitors; bid farewell to departing guests/visitors.
Deliver items to guest rooms promptly to include messages; mail and faxes; packages; flowers; sundry items requested by guest; gift items.
