Job summary

St. Andrew Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, FL seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support mobility, strength, and independence under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The PTA will implement plans, monitor patient responses, educate families on home exercises, document services, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for goals and discharge planning. Florida PTA license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current, unencumbered PTA license in the state of Florida.
• Long-term Care/skilled Nursing Experience Preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, using appropriate therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report changes to the PT.
• Assist with resident and family education regarding home exercise programs and safety.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning.
