Job summary

Northern Cochise Community Hospital in Willcox, AZ is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapy team in a small rural hospital setting. The PTA provides patient care across in-patient and out-patient services, helping restore function, mobility, and relieve pain, in collaboration with therapists.

Qualified candidates will be a graduate of an APTA-approved PTA program with an AZ PTA license and a current BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistants Program approved by the APTA.
• Current unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license from the Arizona State Board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services in a team setting for in-patients and out-patients.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with related activities and direct patient care.
• Support performance improvement and CQI activities.
• Maintain professional appearance and good attendance in a rural CAH environment.
