Job summary

Requires a High School diploma or GED; Peer Support Specialist certification is preferred. At least 1 year in a mental health setting is desired; strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Peer Support Specialist certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of mental health or substance use disorder experience.
• Personal recovery experience valued.
• Team environment experience preferred in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one peer support and mentoring using personal experience.
• Help clients develop recovery plans and achievable goals.
• Facilitate peer support groups and workshops.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support care.
• Document client interactions and progress accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the org.
• Educate clients and families about available resources.
• Promote recovery‑oriented approaches in all interactions.
