Job summary

All About Home Care Inc. is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists to serve patients in the Houston area, including North East Greater Houston communities.

This full-time home health position focuses on assessing function, developing plans of care, and delivering prescribed therapy to improve independence. We welcome OTs with Texas licensure, and prefer candidates with home health experience and familiarity with Kinnser/WellSky documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Texas and eligible to practice as an OT.
• Graduate of an OT curriculum accredited by AMA/AOTA or certified by the national exam.
• Two years of home health experience preferred.
• One year of experience using Kinnser/WellSky in home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• OT takes initial history and make initial evaluation.
• Assists the physician in evaluating level of function.
• Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient.
• Returns the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capabilities.
• Provides prescribed occupational therapy.
• Directs and supervises personnel as required.
• Performs all skilled procedures.
• Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment.
• Writes reports to physicians regarding patient’s progress.
• Instructs patient/family members in home programs and fine motor development exercises.
• An initial evaluation, including plan of treatment and goals, must be filled out and submitted to the physician for approval.
• Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes.
• Advises and consults with the family and other Agency personnel.
• Participates in in-service program.
