Job summary

RISE Pediatric Therapies is seeking an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist to join our AzEIP program as an independent contractor in the Tucson area. The role supports children birth to three with developmental needs, working with a multidisciplinary team in homes and community settings.

The position starts part-time with potential to grow to full-time hours. Applicants must meet AzEIP standards, be willing to travel, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement, or Family Studies.
• Completion of the AzEIP Standards of Practice and Early Interventionists within three years of employment; knowledge of Core Team Model and AzEIP policies.
• Pediatric experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to attend meetings and trainings.
• Must complete a successful background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, assessments, planning, and ongoing services with the child and family.
• Collaborate with Core Team including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists and Developmental Specialists.
• Provide services in natural environments (home, daycare, park, etc.) aligned with family routines.
• Maintain flexibility to accommodate evenings or weekends as needed for service delivery.
