Job summary

Rise Pediatric Therapies is hiring Developmental Specialists to join the AzEIP core team serving the North Central Maricopa area. Contractors will collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and families to support children birth to three in natural environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement, or Family Studies.
• Completion of the AzEIP Standards of Practice and Early Interventionists within three years of employment, demonstrate knowledge of Core Team Model, AzEIP Policies and Procedures.
• Pediatric experience a plus.
• Travel to attend meetings/trainings.
• Must be able to complete a successful background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to provide evaluations, assessments, planning, and ongoing services in collaboration with the child’s family and other community representatives.
• Participate in one-on-one sessions.
• Supports and services are conducted in natural environments (home, daycare, park, etc.) in the context of the family’s routines and activities.
• Flexible schedule, willing to work evenings or weekends, as needed for service provision to families.
