Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a bar/restaurant attendant to deliver hospitable service and craft beverages for guests in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage bar setup, garnish fresh fruit, promote menu items, and process orders through the POS while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This role requires guest-focused communication and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience is preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, and count cash drops.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach stock.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper setup of the bar daily, including stocking beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Stocks and stores fresh fruit and garnishes to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests and documents drink orders; mixes and garnishes drinks.
• Complies with state, federal, and corporate alcohol service rules.
• Inputs orders into the POS and balances each guest check.
• Receives cash, provides change, verifies charges, and balances tills.
• Locks and stores equipment, deposits cash, and secures bank.
• Adheres to attendance rules; available for regular shifts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Flexible schedule; AM/PM/weekend/holiday availability.
