Job summary

SFS is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers for its nationwide contractor network. This role offers a flexible, project-based schedule across multiple retailers and brands. Projects typically range from 12–20 hours monthly, with some locations needing work in the first two weeks of each month.

Independent contractors deliver high-quality retail execution and reporting via mobile devices. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, reliable, and able to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
• Availability to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotions.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as required and accepted.
• Submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed.
