Job summary

SFS is growing and seeks experienced Retail Merchandisers to join our nationwide network of independent contractors. This role offers flexible, supplemental income servicing major retailers and brands with project-based pay.

Projects range from 12-20 hours per month, with some locations requiring service in the first two weeks of each month. You’ll review instructions, execute merchandising tasks, inventory counts, and reporting via mobile devices to stay aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising or retail is preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of using mobile devices for reporting and documentation.
• Available for weekday daytime hours and travel between locations.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as needed and accepted.
• Complete required reporting with photos and project documentation via mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
