Job summary

The Commander, Navy Installations Command's Outdoor Recreation Program at Naval Base Guam seeks a Recreation Assistant to support daily community recreation activities and customer service. You will manage facility access, provide information on offerings, handle sales, and assist with event setup and breakdown.

Flex schedule up to 40 hours per week, with duties spanning camping, watersports, and other leisure activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Checks patron eligibility to ensure authorized use of recreation facilities, resources and equipment.
• Opens and closes facilities, orders and restocks supplies, and prepares snack bar items or prepackaged retail items.
• Maintains daily sales transactions and completes a Daily Activity Report (DAR) at the end of each shift.
• Keeps inventory and maintains equipment for proper accountability of program resources.
• Assists in administering workshops, clinics and events in various leisure and recreation areas, including camping, cycling, sailing, backpacking, canoeing, skiing, hiking and watersports.
• Performs administrative duties using computer software that tracks inventories, patron usage/comments, and program metrics.
• Provides support for event setup and break down; other duties as assigned.
