Qualifications

• Terminal academic degree required.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in the course content area.
• Distance learning experience preferred.
• Scholarly activity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes class/lab/online environment conducive to student learning.
• Uses learning assessment information to improve teaching and curriculum.
• Provides current, organized instructional materials.
• Maintains online course portal management.
• Establishes and implements a scholarship plan/faculty development plan.
• Stays current with clinical practice and evidence.
• Disseminates scholarly work consistent with University policies and accreditation expectations.
• Serves on programmatic and university committees.
• Participates in professional associations.
• Acts as university liaison in community activities.
• Uses release time to enhance the program as approved by the program director.
• Participates in governance, curriculum planning, and growth of the institution.
• Performs course coordinator and lead instructor roles; collaborates with team.
• Advises students on academic and professional issues with referrals when appropriate.
• Provides other administrative duties as assigned.
• Completes annual self-evaluation of faculty performance and sets goals with the program director.
• Engages in faculty development opportunities to meet performance goals.
• Promotes professionalism and models ethical behavior.
• Supports the University’s core values.
• Engages in interprofessional collaboration activities.
• Upholds and enforces student and faculty policies.
• Follows policies/procedures as required.
