Job summary

Merit Health River Region is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support patient care on a PRN basis. The role includes administering respiratory therapies, monitoring responses, and assisting clinicians per physician orders. You will document care and ensure patient safety while collaborating with the healthcare team.

The ideal candidate has RRT credentials, ACLS/PALS, and experience in acute care settings, with a strong focus on accuracy and infection control in all procedures.

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential is required in the U.S.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient responses.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Maintains and cleans respiratory therapy equipment.
• Documents treatments and patient responses accurately.
