Job summary

Northern Cardinal Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our PRN team. You will assist in providing tailored physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping residents improve mobility, strength, and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid PTA license or eligibility for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Implement each resident’s individualized treatment plan as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide physical therapy treatments designed to support increased function, mobility, and independence.
• Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to implement programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures as directed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on appropriate physical therapy techniques under supervision.
• Communicate resident progress and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, participation, and independence throughout treatment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
