Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc. is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team at Spanish Fork Nursing & Rehab in Spanish Fork, UT.

This PRN role offers flexible scheduling with no minimum hours and opportunities to pick up extra hours at nearby partner facilities. The PTA will provide hands-on geriatric rehabilitation, including gait training, transfers, strengthening, and fall prevention, working closely with a supervising PT and the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• 2-3 hours of patient treatment each weekday, Monday–Friday.
• Provide hands-on, functional therapy to geriatric patients.
• Gait and mobility retraining.
• Transfer training across all levels of assistance.
• Strengthening, balance, and fall prevention.
• Supporting patients with medically complex conditions.
• Collaborating with supervising PT and care team.
