Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team at Spanish Fork Nursing & Rehab in Spanish Fork, UT. This therapist-owned company offers flexibility and meaningful work with older adults in a skilled-nursing setting.

You will provide hands-on PTA services for geriatric patients, about 2-3 hours of treatment per weekday, collaborating with a supervising PT, nursing, OT, and speech to advance patient mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred (one year ideal), but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, functional therapy to a geriatric population.
• Gait and mobility retraining.
• Transfer training across all levels of assistance.
• Strengthening, balance, and fall prevention.
• Supporting patients with medically complex conditions.
• Collaborating with the supervising PT on care progression.
• Working alongside nursing, OT, and speech to support whole-person recovery.
