Job summary

Concept Rehab & Engage Consulting in Charlevoix, Michigan is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our therapy team on a flexible PRN basis. You will work under a licensed OT to deliver skilled, patient-centered care and help clients regain independence in activities of daily living.

You will perform therapeutic activities, monitor progress, document accurately, and collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, and other team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Michigan OTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Skilled nursing, post-acute or geriatric experience is a plus.
• New graduates are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions according to established treatment plans
• Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living and functional tasks
• Provide therapeutic activities and exercises
• Assist patients with improving strength, coordination, mobility and safety
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT
• Educate patients and caregivers as appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Promote patient safety and positive outcomes
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families
