Job summary

Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge, MD is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN role. The position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to improve residents’ daily function, safety, and independence through individualized OT care.

You will evaluate residents, develop plans of care, and address ADLs, strength, balance, cognition, and functional performance while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• New graduate Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care.
• Provide treatment addressing activities of daily living, strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and functional performance.
• Establish appropriate therapy goals and monitor progress.
• Recommend adaptive techniques and equipment to promote independence.
• Modify interventions based on resident needs and clinical progress.
• Provide resident and caregiver education.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with COTAs, nursing, and other rehabilitation professionals.
