Job summary

Bitterroot Health in Hamilton, Montana seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform mammography and QA procedures under radiologist supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. This PRN role interfaces with patients to facilitate successful mammogram procedures.

Required education includes an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program; Montana licensure in radiography with AART certification, and BCLS. Prior mammography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate; BS degree preferred; Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology: either college affiliated or hospital trained.
• Licensure and Certifications: AART in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography; Certified in the State of Montana to practice and administer radiation; Current BCLS certification.
• Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of breast anatomy, positioning.
• Experience: One year mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a radiologist performs mammography and mammography Quality Assurance procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram procedures.
