Job summary

Intermountain Health in Layton, Utah is seeking a Limited Practice Technologist (LPT) to gain hands-on radiologic imaging experience while advancing toward ARRT certification. PRN, on-site at Layton Hospital, you will work with licensed professionals to perform exams and ensure patient safety.

The role emphasizes education, accurate documentation, and collaboration within the imaging team as you progress through your radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• Current Utah Limited Practical Radiologic Technologist (LPT) license or Limited Scope Operator license.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with the intent to obtain ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Demonstrated competency in at least one approved LPT examination area.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic exams within your approved scope of practice.
• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety standards.
• Educate patients regarding exams and address patient concerns.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain imaging records.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, providers, and other caregivers to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
