Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient's speech or language difficulty to determine need for therapy.
• Teach patients sound production and voice improvement.
• Instruct alternative communication methods like sign language.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers on therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress and therapy notes per agency policy.
