Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide skilled services in patients' homes under supervision of a licensed OT. You will implement treatment plans, document outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance to support patient independence and safe home care.

Requirements include ACOTE-accredited OTA education, current state OTA license, CPR, NBCOT eligibility, and 1+ year of OTA experience; mentoring may be required for those with less than

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program, ACOTE-accredited.
• Current license to practice as an OTA, specific to the state you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Eligible to take NBCOT entry-level certification exam.
• 1+ years of related OTA experience.
• Less than one year requires regional clinical leaders' approval and mentoring/residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards for the clinical record.
• Observe and report patient responses and changes to the supervising OT and staff.
• Provide resources for future ADL/IADL needs for patients and caregivers.
• Promote wellness and engagement in daily activities.
• Be aware of community resources/services for patients.
• Coordinate follow-up care with the admitting care center.
• Stay updated on OT trends and care coordination.
