Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) for PRN opportunities throughout Washington, DC. You’ll provide one-on-one care, assist with daily activities, and support clients in maintaining independence and dignity at home.

Flexible scheduling and opportunities across Northwest, Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest DC let you tailor assignments to your availability and preferred areas.

Qualifications

• Home Health Aide training or certification as required.
• Previous home care or caregiving experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow an established plan of care.
• Ability to work independently in a client's home.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• Commitment to providing respectful and dignified care.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Toileting and other personal care needs.
• Mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Medication reminders as permitted.
• Light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
• Companionship and emotional support.
• Following the established plan of care.
• Observing clients for changes in condition.
• Reporting concerns or changes promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Helping clients maintain as much independence as possible.
