Job summary

Sobe Innovative Rehab in Fort Pierce, FL is seeking a licensed COTA to provide skilled occupational therapy in patients' homes on a PRN basis. This role focuses on helping older adults maintain independence, safety, and quality of life through geriatric care in a home setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the care team, document care, and support patients in remaining safely at home with professional guidance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida COTA license.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate approach to working with geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the established plan of care.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional independence and safety.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Recommend and/or provide appropriate treatment equipment and adaptive devices as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to support independence and safety at home.
