Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Food Handlers Permit and ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• One plus year experience in a commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals per menu cycle.
• Cooks meals in institutional quantities with proper temperatures and timing.
• Adjusts quantities to resident needs to prevent waste.
• Serves meals on time and maintains a clean work area.
• Prepares substitutes to accommodate resident preferences.
• Assists Dietary Manager in inspections and state surveys.
• Adheres to infection control policies at all times.
