Pendleton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Mystic, CT is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for per diem/as-needed coverage. Role focuses on helping residents regain independence and improve daily functioning through evidence-based OT interventions.

You will evaluate residents, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with physical therapy and nursing teams to ensure cohesive, resident-centered care.

Qualifikationen

• Current, active Connecticut Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation or long-term care preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop treatment plans.
• Provide ADL interventions and improve daily living activities.
• Improve fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and mobility.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and compensatory techniques to promote independence.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on progress and techniques.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing, and other teammates for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per policies and regulations.
