Messiah Lifeways in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Per Diem Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain campus systems while staying active.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a variety of tasks from plumbing to electrical work, and meaningful work supporting older adults in a caring community.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and basic knowledge of building systems; prior maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Two years of maintenance, trade, mechanical, or related experience preferred (but not required).
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair building systems, equipment, and appliances.
• Perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, fixtures, doors, windows, and hardware.
• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment and air handling systems.
• Install and work with plumbing materials including PVC, PEX, CPVC, and copper piping.
• Utilize electrical testing equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
• Apply general maintenance and mechanical repair practices throughout the campus.
• Respond to work orders and accurately document completed work.
• Help ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Support the overall comfort, safety, and functionality of our community.
