Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Gig Nursing program, providing flexible, incentivized patient care across Mercy Hospital facilities in Missouri. The role includes day or night shifts with no weekend, holiday, or fixed shift requirements, and requires timely availability for assigned hours.

The LPN will float among Mercy facilities, working in departments such as Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, and MS, with potential for variable shifts and a W-2 employment arrangement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; must obtain/maintain LPN license in hiring state.
• One year of bedside LPN experience for Med Surg; two years for ED/ICU.
• IV certification required; BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments; maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Float between Mercy Hospital facilities as assigned by the Gig Nursing Program.
