First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule by choosing shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p and 7p-7a.

Per diem nurses enjoy daily and weekly pay, and the ability to build a fuller schedule as desired. Requirements include a Virginia RN license, 2 years of recent PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, and vaccination or exemption.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License is required.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
