Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring seasoned PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts and daily or weekly pay options.

You must hold a Virginia RN license, have 2 years' PCU experience in the last 4 years, and current AHA BLS and ACLS. Vaccination or approved exemption is required. Per diem pay is competitive and flexible scheduling means you work as little as one shift per month.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
