Job summary

Pasadena City College is seeking theater technicians for events in Sexson Auditorium and other spaces. Roles include lighting, audio, deck, and house staff on an hourly, part-time basis with variable shifts mainly on Fridays through Sundays.

Candidates should have theater AV experience, reliability, and strong customer service. Expect ladders up to 10 feet, 50 lb lifts, and 4–12 hour shifts with notice per event.

Responsibilities

• Audio setup and FOH live mixing, mic placement.
• Lighting programming and patching on ETC APEX/Ti consoles.
• Deck hand duties: stage setups, risers, platforms.
• Rigging tasks with counterweight systems.
• Projection setup and operation of front/rear systems.
• House staff: theater operations and audience safety.
