Northeast Georgia Health System Simulation Center is seeking a Standardized Patient Emulator in Gainesville, FL. You will portray patients or staff to help train physicians, nurses, and health professionals, following scripts and directions to build empathy, clinical skills, and patient interaction capabilities.

The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule with no invasive procedures, focusing on non-invasive simulation activities and feedback to learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Multilingual proficiency.
• Preferred: acting, theatre, or drama experience or training.
• Strong memorization and ability to portray specific symptoms and behaviors.
• Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately portray a patient, simulating and verbalizing a variety of physical symptoms and behaviors.
• Participate in healthcare simulation activities including interviews, history-taking and non-invasive activities.
• Memorize detailed patient histories and case information to respond authentically to learners.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners from the patient perspective using established tools and guidelines.
• Be comfortable videotaped and/or observed during exams.
• Bring flexibility to your schedule and commit to shifts as booked.
