Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Portland, TX, offering reliable, fixed hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn extra shifts when available through our scheduling platform.

The role provides part-time income with stability and a path to full-time hours up to 40 per week. You will perform security-related duties, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols in a chemical and petrochemical environment while adhering to site policies.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card or applicable license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, and designated areas within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, equipment concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with site requirements.
