Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security services provider, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Screening at West Finley, PA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a schedule of Wednesdays 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM and optional extra shifts via a scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with eligibility for a 6-month anchor site commitment. Ideal candidates are 18+, hold a high school diploma, and can pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report unusual or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter unauthorized entry through a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
