Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entrance Security in Birmingham, AL. This role features a fixed anchor shift with the possibility to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while maintaining reliable base hours.

The position pays $16.00 per hour and offers flexibility to build toward a fuller schedule, with part-time hours designed to fit around your life.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Guard card or license preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures and security‑related policies at an industrial manufacturing location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals and vehicles to appropriate areas.
Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated areas to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
Document incidents, access issues, and daily activities in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
