Job summary

BuddiesHR is seeking part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform in-store data collection at local retailers in Dudley, MA. The role uses a mobile app to scan barcodes across grocery, convenience, drug, and other stores, with 52 weeks per year including holiday weeks.

Hours average 2–4.5 per week per store, with additional weekly projects when needed. This on-site position offers independence, flexible scheduling, and paid travel at your hourly rate.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles using a mobile app.
• Report to stores within deadline; complete store-wide display scanning each week.
• Assist with custom projects that add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work in some weeks.
• Flexible hours; paid travel at your hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes).
• Provide accurate product counts for roughly 45% of scanned items.
